Due to the lack of responsibility shown by visitors, many tourist spots have been a victim to heaps of trash, resulting in a lack of cleanliness & hygiene. In order to encourage people to take cognizance for their vicinity’s upkeep, we participated in a “Cleanliness Drive” initiated by “Environment Life” at Kondeshwar Temple & Waterfall in Badlapur. The area was inundated under a huge amount of litter containing trash items like liquor bottles & plastic bags etc. A group of 120 volunteers collected 700kg trash in one day. Through the campaign volunteers also explained the harm caused to the environment due to lack of cleanliness and shared methods to best maintain and keep the area clean.
